Adult Application

At MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are looking for talented individuals with interest, skills, and availability to assist the institution in furthering our mission to end cancer. Each agency or organization has a unique set of skills and time commitments required of their volunteers. Remember that volunteering is a commitment. It is important to find the right place to make that commitment.

Programs

Day Program: Opportunities are available only during the daytime, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Shifts are 3 to 4 hours with flexible shift sign up., ex: 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 12-4 p.m., 2-6 p.m.

Evening and Weekend Programs: Closed at this time

Program Requirements

To provide consistent support to our patients, caregivers and staff, we require a minimum commitment of 6 months and 8 volunteer hours per month.
Complete preview orientation, application, forms and placement interview
Health Vaccinations: Flu (annually), Tuberculosis (TB) skin or blood test within the last 12 months, Chicken Pox history
Criminal background check clearance
Agree to wear the volunteer uniform: MD Anderson volunteer badge, blue jacket and mask (where applicable in required areas) that will be provided to you each shift.
